Hi Paul here you can find a working version:

http://code.midrange.com/96e34a4a82.html

Just keep in mind that you can create a new printer, no need to give up
with PDF Mapping Object.

InforpintServer is still usefull since it can detect Begin/End group.

I've created a custom Info Print Server PDFMAP program, inserted TAATOOLs
cpysplfdta to create the .csv for Excel

1) One issue is when you use a custom PDFMAP program, (instead of using
the *IBMPGM default), you lose and give up all the features of a PDF
Mapping Object.
This currently contains all of our spoolfiles that are emailed as PDFs,
hundreds.

2) The PDFMAP program would become I high maintenance item, so I'm
rethinking the long term solution.

3) There are some options of the PDFMAP program that are not working and
could be restrictive.
a) Subject - EXTSUBJ is only defined for 10 positions, although
the documentation states 255 is maximum subject length.
b) CC address for e-mail - not working
c) The body file option results with an invalid attachment,
ATT00001.bin
ScanMail detected and removed a file named "ATT00001.bin" that
violated attachment blocking policy from the original mail entity

I'm not giving up on the PDFMAP program.
Anybody else currently using a PDFMAP program and willing to share results
and/or issues?

Long term, considering replacing InfoPrintServer, since IBM has
discontinued enhancements for this product, last release is V5R4.

Paul

Use the Copy Spooled File (CPYSPLF) command. Use the TOFILE(*TOSTMF)
parameter to indicate that you want to copy the spooled file to a stream
file. Use the TOSTMF and WSCST parameters to specify the location and
format (PDF) of the output in the stream file. The IBM Transform Services
for i licensed program must be installed.

The output is transformed to Portable Document Format (PDF) before it
is written into a stream file.

Example 3: Generating Stream File Output
OVRPRTF FILE(QSYSPRT) DEVTYPE(*AFPDS)
TOSTMF('/home/user/mypdf.pdf') WSCST(*PDF) This command
overrides the QSYSPRT printer file to generate a stream file "mypdf.pdf" in
directory "/home/user". As it is generated, the output stream file will be
converted to Portable Document Format (PDF).
