I never have much luck getting anything I can read when I use System i
Navigator. But I use FileZilla all the time and that works great. When
you use Filezilla are you using binary, auto or ascii? If you are using
auto, then what extension are you giving your PC file? Are you really
sure? For example

dcl &strmfil *char 300
chgvar &strmfil '/mydir/mysubdir/myfile.txt'
TOSTMF(&STRMFIL)
Does that omit trailing spaces? If not, does trailing spaces confuse
filezilla?

Next option. I see you said *PCASCII but what was the CCSID of the PF,
and the column in question?
From DSPFD:
Coded character set identifier . . . . . . : CCSID 937
From DSPFFD:
Coded Character Set Identifier . . . . . : 37

Other than that, and how this may change from release to release, have I
said in the last day or so how much I hate CPYTOIMPF? Allow me the simple
pleasure to rant, after all, I did try to help.
