Had some similar issue with an customers’ E4B some weeks ago.
System crashed. Tried to manually IPL, no success.
Tried to reinstall LIC (only test system) - no disk drives found.
In the end, we exchanged all 3 disk controller boards,
the drive cage and all 4 disk drives.
Maybe a power surge or something, but i think the Power7
are some critical to that and should be grounded
(the customer system was located on a wooden table)
