Correct that a file can only be journaled once.

However, when a file is journaled, the entries go into a first into
receiver on the local system.

Assuming you're using a HA product that uses remote journals, the entries
would also go to the remote system's journal receivers.

But that doesn't mean they aren't still in the local journal and can be
accessed normally.

Folks:

I admit I have an imperfect understanding of both journalling and high
availability systems.

It was my understanding that HA systems were implemented by creating
journals on the host systems database and sending the journal entries to a
remote system.

Unless I missed something ... you can only have a single journal on a
physical file.

So my question is this: Is it possible to have a file journalled, for
local use, AND replicated with a HA system?

Thanks!
