Without seeing the logic of the program that will process this file, you will need to be careful that you do not end an job (different from the IVR jobs) that may have a lock on that file.

I would suspect that using the QULSJOB API with a specific(or generic) job name would be "safer"

Pick on object that is unique to the jobs.
