Thanks for the reply...

Yes it does exist in Qsys and Qusrsys.
Looking on a different machine I see my user msgq is only in Qusrsys.
I see there is no lock on the one in Qsys.
I see there is a lock on the one in Qusrsys.
The lock is for Workstation Gary3
The delivery on Workstation is currently in *Notify mode.
When I run this on Workstation Gary3:
"chgmsgq msgq(MyUser) dlvry(*break)"
I get the error:
Work station message queue MyUser not allocated to job.

I don't understand that.

Thanks,

Gary

Work station message queue locked:

Gary,
I am thinking that if you have performed a
"chgmsgq msgq(MyUser) dlvry(*break)"
you should indeed have a lock.

does the msgq object exist in multiple libraries?

I have a signon program that includes a

In the past the first work station I would signon to I would get my messages
to break
on. Now all work stations I signon to I get a error saying:
Work station message queue MyUser not allocated to job.
Including the first work station.

I ran:
Wrkobjlck obj(MyUser) objtype(*msgq)
and it says there are no locks.

How can I fix my message queue?

Thanks,

Gary
