I would think that a .savf would qualify as a .savf
Are you saying that since it's only 33KB you're thinking it's not really a
.savf?

I would try the option in Fix Central to use one of the following:
- Download individual fixes directly to my system
- Download virtual images using FTP
Directly should be able to be applied using GO PTF, 8, *SERVICE
FTP you could then use FTP from your IBM i to download them and apply them
with an image catalog. You would get an email with some instructions as
to how to do some of this. Knowledge Center would help also.

- Download virtual images using Download Director. I've not tried that
but I've used Download Director for a bunch of other stuff. To me the
only disadvantage of Download Director is it puts it on your PC and you
have to move it to your IBM i. Nothing to make you run screaming into the
night but it does add an extra step.
