I think my reply got mixed in with a fast discussion, but we do offer the
ability to print a document that is in your IFS (or even via URL) via a
command or ILE subprocedure to any printer set up on Google Cloud Print.

It's a pretty neat piece of technology (Google Cloud Print, that is) and
would make this quite easy.

You could set up a printer anywhere in the world and print to it from your

One option is to transfer them to a PC and use a remote command to the PC

Subject: Printing pdf data from teh AS/400
Sent by: "MIDRANGE-L" <midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi everyone
Hope you had a really merry Christmas, and hope you have a really great
New Year
Before I forget - because I generally do, we are on V5r4

We are in the process of using a new courier, and part of that process is
to receive data from the courier, via web services, decode it from Base64
and unzip the data
We seem to have this working
The end result is that we have 2 sets of data
One is for labels - which we have printed, and the second is pdf files
I have searched the internet on how to print pdf files from the AS/400 -
with no success
I have been told that it's the printers we are printing to
I have also been told that we need to load some software onto the AS/400
to convert FROM pdf to some other format

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Do we need new printers? If so - which type?
Do we need software? If so - what?

I can (hopefully) answer any questions that needs to be asked
