I've tried a few things like trying to store the image catalog stream
files on QFileSvr.400, mounted directories, qntc and that genre. Image
catalog entries fight that pretty hard. Maybe some of these wizards at
getting PTF's and OS upgrades from network drives can get this to work.

Currently I have a virtual tape on one lpar that I ftp to another and then
duplicate it to physical tape.
If done right BRMS on the source machine can now tell you the physical
tape that holds a backup of such and such an object.
