There is a significant difference between a delete statement with a where
clause and one without a where clause. One does row deletion and one does
something like a CLRPFM. There is some significance to this. Another
asked the question that you've yet to answer: Are you journalling this
table? Perhaps it is something where a WHERE clause requires it but the
other does not. You could try adding WITH NC to your DELETE statement.
You could try journalling the table. You could try changing your
connection to not do commitment control.
