Others have made proper suggestions but I'll try to put the details on it
in case sysadmin is not your normal job title.
First of all, I'll assume that you do not have an HMC managed machine.
Pity, because there's some nice stuff there to deal with this.
On your IBM i do the following:
STRSST
1. Start a service tool
7. Hardware service manager
6. Work with service action log
Change the dates to include from several months ago. I'll often just
change the year. This is what you'll need to deal with. When you clear
all these off appropriately then the lights should go away.

Subject: Lights on panel
Sent by: "MIDRANGE-L" <midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx>
There are a yellow and blue or green lamps lit on the 520 control panel.
Last week, battery warning was sent to IBM.
No messages on QSYSOPR. WRKPRB no longer shows the battery warning.
Is the yellow light on because there was a message about battery in
warning
status? Some other reason?
For what little it does now, there does not appear to be a problem.
My wild guess is that a cleanup task cleared the problem entry. Only
panel
functions available were 01 02, 04, and 20. Does this mean no issues
remain and lamp needs to be turned off with SST? CE will change battery
Dec 10.
Or, do I need to look deeper?
