Using "head -1000 /core" in PASE I was able to see Java related things in
the file so I assume it is a Java core dump. I had tried "tail /core"
first and that just hanged (guessing it scans from the beginning of the
file?).

I think I can delete it.

In Linux/Unix, when a program aborts, a file named "core" is produced. I
can't state that this is the case here. But, with two files with that name
and owned by different profiles and being different sizes, I definitely
wonder if this is the case. No "core" file on the v5r4 system where I
work.

Anybody know what the /core object in the IFS might be from? It is
owned
by QTMHHTTP so my guess is "ZendServer Core".

I just ran an IFS scan to see what the largest files were and the /core
file is 2.2GB in size. I am hoping I can delete it.

Mine is owned by QSYS, created in 2009, but only 2MB in size. It might
be part of Zend - they have a forum at

Looking at the instructions for removing Zend Core, I don't see mention
of stream file /core

I guess I'd call Zend Support.
