Copying the damaged file with a CPYF, the copy ends up with 174 fewer
records than the undamaged one.
But if I use an RPG program to scan forward through the damaged file
from TOF until it hits a damaged record, the RRN in INFDS is 522564, and
if I scan backward from EOF to a damaged record, the RRN in INFDS is
522604, a gap of only 40 RRNs
Anybody have any idea what the discrepancy could be?
(Oh, and incidentally, it turns out that the customer had a power failure.)
