If you're using Client Access and your password recently changed it used to try several times to connect with the old password-- locking you out quite nicely! The newer versions are usually happy using the old credentials until you try to make a new connection-- then it asks if you want to provide alternate credentials... I don't know if your connection using crystal reports would try to use old credentials over and over and over again or not.

Best to look in the history log to see what service disabled your
profile. Perhaps your profile was disable by something else and sent the
running CR a loop.

And no question is a dumb question, except the unasked question.

If you don't know how to look at the logs, ask here and we will help.

this is confusing. here is what happened. last night i was working on
Crystal reports which
are connected to the ibm i.

suddenly the cr got hung. would not show records or do anything.

i tried a different cr and got a message that my id was disabled.

now my question, could the first cr have caused this? the disabling?

being it was sunday night, 9.30pm, I don't think the operator is on site
this time.

I just want to verify that perhaps the cr was in some sort of black hole
and was trying to login more than 3 times and caused the disable.
