SSD are the biggest factor.
My R&D LPAR, which has 10k spinny, is 4 times slower then Production with SSD.

Well, the RCLSTG's do seem to have shrunk just a wee bit since doing an unload/reload from our Power 6 to our Power 8 with all SSD's.
GDISYS2 went from 8 hours and 12 minutes down to just 15 minutes.
GDIHQ2 went from 3 hours and 45 minutes down to just 12 minutes.
IDK if it was the clean start from the unload/reload or the significant hardware upgrade.
