While I'm waiting on PMR update from IBM for the SAVBRM and ALWCKPWRT,
I decided to setup a IFS test save, comparing the lock differences between a BRMS control group *link save and a SAVBRM save.
I'm trying to create various IFS locks.
I opened *STMF for update, but it only created *SHRRD lock, not what I expected.
I'm using Ops Nav, File Systems, IFS, Root, folder/object, properties, use, show usage, to view the various IFS folder/obj locks.

1) What tool, or how can I create the various IFS lock levels. *SHRRD, *SHRUPD, *SHRNUP, *EXCL, etc.?
2) Is there a command that would should ALL current IFS objects with some sort of lock?

I need to test
a) App has the IFS folder/object first, compare the various save options.
b) Various IFS save locks the object, compare the results when the app tries access the object, failure or no failure.

Paul:

Open a Support incident (PMR) against BRMS, to ask IBM how to do this, or why it is apparently not supported ...

Mark,

I reviewed the knowledge base docs related to ALWCKPWRT and SAVBRM.
It appears that this is only available with SAVBRM, which is not part of a normal BRMS control group save.
So at this point I'm not sure how to integrate/combine SAVBRM with STRBKUBRM.

Has anyone ever used ALWCKPWRT and/or SAVBRM with STRBKUPBRM
