Re: booting from DVD.

Complexity? VIOS? No way.

Honestly here's what I do. In IBM i GO LICPGM option 40. Create custom install media. Includes PTFs and all LPPs. send it to a 20G Optical! Now put THAT in Vios. Never need to change media. :-)
