RTVDSKINF does a poor job for stream file objects, aka parts of the IFS
other than /qsys.lib.
The companion command for stream files is RTVDIRINF.
However, I suspect that most people know exactly which directory their
virtual tapes are stored. If not, it isn't really hard to determine that,
once you start out with WRKIMGCLG. There are options in IBM Navigator for
i to add up the size of all files and subdirectories in a particular
directory.
Then you get into the fun of:
Are they using preallocated sizes? For example, was the size of volume
VRT001 set to one particular size but it's only using x% of it? IOW, if I
create a 140GB volume and store 2GB of data on it does it still take up
140GB of disk, and, how do you know that it's only storing 2GB of actual
backup?
