RPG? more readable? strange opinion!

Are you seriously questioning this? Did you even look at Steve's SQL solution?

UDF? fast? Materializing the results will beat the UDF and save hours of
runtime, If it is needed often, for large tables!

I'm talking about RPG wrapped in a UDF versus SQL wrapped in a UDF.
