1) Do you have one outq in your SPFILARC library, or do you mirror all the outqs?
2) Are you only saving spoolfiles from SPFILARC library, not from any other library?
3) After you clear the spoolfiles in SPFILARC, at this point you have 0 spoolfiles on your system, correct?

Interesting concept, you have spoolfiles saved if you need them, also keeps the number of jobs and spoolfiles low, which is great for IPLs, amongst other things.

How often are you restoring spoolfiles and/or qezjoblogs, if and when needed?

we found (or mod'ed) a process like the MOVSPLF command in TAATOOL, that selects by age...

we too save spool files...
what we have done is create a "SPLFILARC" library, and after x days (usually 1) the spool files move to that library...
we only save that library on Sunday, and then clear the output queues in it.
