IFS save isn't the issue, its only because it is last.
The save was almost complete, only needed about 10 more minutes.

Hi, Paul:

As I understand it, the amount of time needed to save the IFS is proportional to the number of stream files and directories that need to be saved.

Perhaps you have had a sudden increase or a large number of very small files have been created in some directories, thus causing your save to take longer than previously?

Hope that helps,

Correct, I need to increase the BRMS time limit.
But any ideas on how to find where an extra 60 minutes of save came from.

I am guessing he is using this in BRMS:

Controlling subsystem:
Allow backups in batch . . . . . . . . *YES
Restricted state time limit . . . . . 360

What is this "system max restricted time"? Some monitoring software you have?

I did an unattended system save on our Pencor06 R&D partition Monday
evening, the save ended abnormally because it didn’t complete within
the
360 minutes.
I will be increasing the system max restricted time from 360 to 420,
just in case this occurs again.
System was at 39% of 12,565 or 4900.
System was in restricted state.
Save was using 2 of 4 LTO5 drives. Normally my overall rate is 900 gb hr.
I expected the save to be done in about 5 hours.
Actual was 6+ hours, if it would have finished.
It was saving the IFS when it ended because of the time limit.
Any thoughts of where to look for issues.

Thank You
