The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
As a footnote, IBM has replicated the issue and is working on a fix. In
meantime, if you are at V7R1, having IGNORE_DERIVED_INDEX set to *YES in
QAQQINI does not send references to logical files to the classic query
engine (CQE) as it did back in V6R1.
At V7R1 the SQL query engine (SQE) should be able to handle Select/Omit
logical files, so they will get routed to the SQE instead of the CQE. So
IGNORE_DERIVED_INDEX *YES doesn't really do anything anymore, per the
response back on our ticket. If you want the SQE to ignore select/omit
logical files, the setting would be IGNOGRE_DERIVED_INDEX *SPARSE.
I'm not sure of the difference between that and the other workaround I was
given, of adding SERVICE_AR 2 to QAQQINI with:
INSERT into <yourlib>. QAQQINI VALUES('SERVICE_AR','2','disable LF')
but both seem to work.
