Jack,

Yes, I've not yet created the connection/alias
for MS SQL, but have postponed that until I
know more about why Squirrel "crashed" ?

My load of jTDS from sourceforge may have been
doomed because I failed to close Squirrel while
extracting the jTDS driver ?

At any rate, I needed to force shut-down my PC
due to bad behavior by Squirrel.

As you see; I'm Java deficient.

I believe your going to want to create a connection string.

The jTDS driver is not yet "enabled", and I'm not making another

I'm not sure which of the options on the Drivers window in Squirrel I
should choose to "enable" the jTDS driver (which >I think< is
installed).

This is what I see on my pc:

C:/Program Files/squirrel-sql-3.5.0/jtds-1.3.1.jar

So I guess I successfully completed:
"Just drop the jar file into your application's classpath and your're done"

Quoting from the jTDS Project page jtds.sourceforge.net

Me no savy java . . .
