The "audit trail" is useful to determine "who done it" but it does not really help to prevent such potential disasters.

A better approach is to use OS/400 (IBM i) security to "lock down" all production libraries so that only certain people who are so authorized can implement any changes into the "live" production environment. ("An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." -- old saying)
