LY21-0592 "System Data Areas"
Contains information to support SSP problem diagnosis, including:
- Data area descriptions
- Feature support information for programming languages and utilities

If you still have access to that, and if the following information can be found within those docs, then perhaps you could post the layout of the data for a saved file; i.e. what data, the layout of the data, that is stored on disk, as if a System/36 had saved a file to disk [via SAVE, as implemented with the $COPY utility]. However IIRC the save only saves to diskette or tape, so I suppose... what the hex output of a keyed file and alternative index file saved to a diskette.?

I wonder if the following may also have some information?

SY21-0593 "Program Problem Diagnosis and Diagnostic Aids"
