Re: AS/400 won't boot

I have the same model, and after a while in storage the fuse in the PSU
tends to misbehave. (Mine did with a bright spark the first time though)

You can safely replace that fuse, though it's a PITA to disasseble the PSU
- it's sealed tight with a lot of rivets. I drilled them out and replaced
them with screws (that was a lot easier in the end).

called AS/400 then). Now someone else wants to buy it so I got it out of
storage and fired it up. But the IPL stops very early on with the
following on the LCD panel:

Second line: P01 FN 24L1402

Google turned up nothing for me on the first line. The second line
appears to match a part number for a power supply, but I don't think that
is related to this problem.

Anyone know what this means? Do I have a failing power supply?
