In your case you had 27GB in current unprotect used. Which is what, about
20% of the smallest disk size currently marketed by IBM? Or 40% of the
smallest load source drive supported by 7.2.
Basically, which is cheaper, slapping in another disk drive or
experiencing the outage of an IPL? And, who's to say when you'll have to
IPL again because of running tight? Let alone your time doing this
checking? Of course, if your bread is buttered doing this sort of
maintenance for the customer I can see where you may be loath to bring
that point up with them.
