When I open the source in RDi/RDp, it does not recognize the sequence and
date fields in the source file and brings them up as part of the source
record. I then have to delete the first 13 characters of each line and this
is a task with over 50 tables to do.

1. Does anyone know why this is?

2. How do I overcome the issue so that it opens as a normal source
member?

1. I have no idea.

2. If no one comes up with something better, you could whip up a
script to accomplish the removal of the first 13 characters on each
line. (Is it really 13 and not 12? Not that it makes any difference
if you're going with this approach.) I assume it's tremendously easy
to do in REXX. If it were me, of course I'd use Python.

Probably stupid question, but does QSQLSRC have to be limited to 72
characters of source?
