There is no transmission component to these api's, you have to build your own. But assuming you're doing the communications stuff you can restore while downloading. We do this when saving/restoring from Dropbox.

So again, it looks like there is no "save file". So, does the restore
start during the actual transmission? Thus speeding up the restore and
reducing temporary storage?
