Just as an update for anyone searching the archives: it is now confirmed
by both Oracle and IBM that PTF Group 99572, Level 14 (V7R1) and PTF Group
99562, Level 25 (V6R1) break JD Edwards Enterpriseone.

The latest update from Oracle is that they are waiting for IBM to come up
with a fix. The latest from IBM is that they have extended the PMR for 3
days while they work on a fix. I was only able to provide them complete
Java logs on Sunday the 29th (the joys of having a single partition for
development and production!).

As a footnote to that, I'm copying the steps that they had me take to
generate the listings, as I hadn't seen them elsewhere:

MKDIR '/home/IBM'
QSH CMD('touch -C 1252 /qibm/userdata/java400/SystemDefault.properties')
QSH CMD('touch -C 1252 /home/IBM/stderr.log')
QSH CMD('touch -C 1252 /home/IBM/stdout.log')
QSH CMD('echo os400.stderr=file:/home/IBM/stderr.log >
/qibm/userdata/java400/SystemDefault.properties')
QSH CMD('echo os400.stdout=file:/home/IBM/stdout.log >>
/qibm/userdata/java400/SystemDefault.properties')
ADDENVVAR ENVVAR(QIBM_XJ9_TRACE) VALUE(ALL) LEVEL(*SYS)
ADDENVVAR ENVVAR(QIBM_XJ9_TRACE_FILE) VALUE('/home/IBM/J9Trace-%PID.txt')
LEVEL(*SYS)
After applying the PTFs and trying to start the applications, you should
have some files in /home/IBM directory. Please zip them up and send them
in for review. I would recommend removing the PTFs if the issue with the
apps not running still exists."

To remove this logging, remove the Environment Variables and comment out
the comments in SystemDefault.properties. Maybe that will help someone
else sort out Java issues in the future.
