we are looking into doing this very thing...
how long is the "mirror sync. time" after you restart the mirroring???
(I am sure that the time will be relative to bandwidth and amount of changes, but I am >curious about how long it takes...)

In our case, it's anywhere from 30mins to 2hrs depending on how "active" the production system is.
