Subject: File size using fstat()
V5R4
I am writing an RPGIV program which uses the Unix-type functions to read
and
write data along with the QlgTransformUCSData API to convert
database/stream
files from UTF16BE to other Unicode representations.
I just discovered that when I use the Unix-type function fstat() to retrieve
the file size of a IBM i database file, the returned size value includes the
space occupied by the deleted records, which I do NOT want.
Has anyone else dealt with this issue, and how?
