When the CE looks up the part number from the problem record, the system will automatically give the CE the newest part number available with all the revisions. It's then up to the CE and the customer together to be sure the proper PTFs for a new part number are on the system.

In the case of a cache battery the odds of a PTF needed are very low but not zero. A good CE always checks the PTF list to see if any of them are applicable to the problem he's trying to solve.
