I am following the logic at
http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v7r1m0/topic/rzahr/rzahrphpgmco.htm?resultof=%22%71%75%70%73%6d%73%67%71%22%20
for a UPS Power handling program. If I do not have this program running I
will get
CPF1816 - System utility power failed at 08/30/13 14:52:10.
I test this by breaking power to the UPS.
So, yes, I have the stupid cable hooked up right and everything.
However if I follow the logic in that program, especially these lines:
23.00 ALCOBJ OBJ((&LIB/&MSGQ *MSGQ *EXCL))
24.00
25.00 A: RCVMSG MSGQ(&LIB/&MSGQ) WAIT(600) RMV(*YES) +
26.00 MSGID(&MSGID)
then I do not. I suspect IBM is off their nut. I do not think it can
send a message to something with an exclusive lock on it.
Disclaimer: I run RMV(*NO) instead of RMV(*YES).
I do have a large time limit on QUPSDLYTIM instead of *NOMAX figuring that
if the job died, or gets hung then that will run as a backup.
