Please direct me to companies oblivious of cost. I am looking for one 
customer that will pay me massive fees so I can take the rest of the 
year off. :-)

Remember that IBM isn't truly a hardware company at all any longer and 
gets a small amount of it's overall revenue from hardware. While they 
own a large amount of intellectual capital and many many patents they 
don't manufacture much of what they sell. They design, they contract the 
manufacture, and then they assemble the final product. Of course there 
are exceptions like the POWER Processors but largely you'll see stickers 
on boards, cables, drives, etc telling who made them and where.
