Re: iSeries Access session keeps dropping

Hello all,

I'm wondering if anyone out there has seen this issue before.....

I connect to an AS/400 for one of our subsidiaries located in another
state. I have iSeries Access installed on my machine. All has been fine
and dandy until the last month or so. My interactive sessions now randomly
drop and disconnect. I've tried to establish some sort of a pattern on
when it occurs, but the only thing I see pattern-wise is that occasionally
it will happen after I've done some sort of DB query, whether SQL or other
types. But even that is not half the time. And it's not usually when I'm
running the query, but after the second or third keystroke sequence after
it (F3, F12, etc.).

Prevailing opinion seems to point to it being some sort of CPU usage issue
(i.e. a program maxing out the CPU usage and causing interactive sessions
to drop). The only problem with that theory is that it only happens to
me, not to users who are local to where the iSeries box is physically
located.

Any thoughts out there would be appreciated.
