I haven't managed to figure out what causes it because: A) I don't
really care I just use a utility that works, and B) don't have the time
to dissect the DVD at a low enough level to figure it out. I do think
it has to do with the absolute location of specific files on the disk (
although can't prove it ) and potentially how the directory is laid
out. All conjecture but in the end it does not matter, just use a
utility that works, and they are shareware so they don't cost much if
anything.
