Hopefully the Memo to Users covers it all.

It's been so long since I've moved on FROM V5R4 that I can't remember the
pain of moving TO V5R4. I suspect many others are in this boat, well, at
least the moving TO V5R4.

Probably the usual crap about CPYTOIMPF. And, since you're transferring
data to a disparate system that may apply to you.

If you're moving to V5R4 have you got keys and stuff covered? IBM stopped
marketing V5R4 in May of 2011. That's also when they stopped supporting
V5R3 to V5R4 migrations. Support for V5R4 dies in exactly two months on
9/30/2013.

They've not announced when they'll stop supporting V5R4 to 6.1 or 7.1
migrations.

Moving to newer hardware?

Why not move to something newer than V5R4?
