Hi Dan,
We use TAATOOL's tool MRGSPLF to do this.
I have a routine that puts all of the spool files I want to merge together
into a single OUTQ, that is not attached to a printer/writer. I then run
the MRGSPLF command and it takes all of the SPLFs in the OUTQ that I
request and merges them all together into a SPLF called MRGOUTPUT. I then
send this SPLF via email to the persons I want to and then clear the OUTQ.
It works great.
I am at V5R4M5.
Thanx,
Nick

Subject: Parse Spooled Files
Sent by: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx
V4R5. I need to parse the data in 36,000+ spooled files. One time deal.
Any suggestions how I could quickly make them all parseable?
One thought is to set up a remote outq to an outq on a V7R1 box and print
them all there using the TOFILE attribute somehow and then GREP them in
QSH.
