We have the need to merge two source files, QCLSRC from Production LPAR and QCLSRC from R&D LPAR, when complete, QCLSRC will not exist in Production, only on R&D
Step D is complicated.
Has anyone done this or attempted to do this?

Step 1 - SAVRSTOBJ OBJ(QCLSRC) LIB(PROD) RMTLOCNAME(PENCOR06) RSTLIB(RD)
Step 2 - DSPFD FILE(PROD/QCLSRC) TYPE(*MBRLIST) OUTPUT(*OUTFILE) OUTFILE(QGPL/PRDQCLSRC)
Step 3 - DSPFD FILE(RD/QCLSRC) TYPE(*MBRLIST) OUTPUT(*OUTFILE) OUTFILE(QGPL/RDQCLSRC)
Step 4 - Using CL or other tool -
A- Read Rec from QGPL/PRODQCLSRC
B- Check for existence in QGPL/RDQCLSRC
C- If non- existence- CPYSRCF FROMFILE(PROD/QCLSRC) TOFILE(RD/QCLSRC) FROMMBR(&FROMMEM) TOMBR(*FROMMBR)
RMVM FILE(RD/QCLSRC) MBR(&FROMMEM)
GO to Step A
D. If already exist in RD (Duplicate), must compare change dates, need to select the most recent of the two sources
Problem - Source member change dates were all updated during last hardware migration, not accurate.
On 4/21/12 RD LPAR was migrated from P5 to P7, all RD has source change date of 120421 or greater if updated
On 5/06/12 Prod LPAR was migrated from P5 to P7, all Prod has source change date of 120506 or greater if updated
If can't determine, skip, will process manually.
GO TO Step A

Thank You
