I have tried this a few times, but it doesn't always give all the control
you need for the file
....so we don't use it
.....we have other products that create pdf's which we have been using for
several years

But what I think is the problem is what someone else has already mentioned
.....the ToStmf(????) is not correct
I think at the very least it s/b ... TOSTMF('/PSATTLER/')
.....but you still don't have an actual file name for the destination
.....like TOSTMF('/PSATTLER/Liblist.pdf')

It's worth a try, as it's not working with any other options

Subject: OVRPRTF to PDF

I am trying to use the OVRPRTF command to create a .pdf file that will be
directed to the IFS.

We are running V6R1M0. I entered the commands based upon IBM's instructions
found at:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas12bd8020c496ae912862575f400
640da6
.

The demo task was to print the library list, but to have the list created as
a .pdf file and directed to the IFS.

I set up PSATTLER as the IFS directory.

I entered the following commands.
OVRPRTF FILE(QPRTLIBL) DEVTYPE(*AFPDS) TOSTMF('/PSATTLER') WSCST(*PDF)
OVRSCOPE(*JOB)
DSPLIBL *PRINT

Instead of creating the .pdf file, I received the following message: File
QPRTLIBL in library QSYS member or device *N not opened.

I also tried OVRPRTF FILE(QPRTLIBL) DEVTYPE(*AFPDS) TOSTMF('/PSATTLER')
WSCST(*QSYS/QCTXPDF) OVRSCOPE(*JOB) with the same result.

I tried a similar OVRPRTF command with a working program and got a similar
message that stated that the printer file was not open.

I've checked that the Portable Application Solutions Environment (PASE) and
the IBMR Transform Services for i5/OSR licensed program (5761-TS1) are
installed.
