Ok, month end is a 'single string' process. You run this, then that, and
so on. Normally other system load isn't there (unless you're also a
Domino shop or some such thing).
Single string with no other load and using single threaded RPG type
applications probably won't benefit from multiple processors. Now, 2000+
active users may be helped by multiple processors because those are all
separate jobs.
So, for your traditional month end I can see why multiple processors may
not help.
