We're not running Linux yet. But we're considering it for handling Apache
Virtual Hosting under a cloud services architecture. Why use an IBM i
license and processor core for non-DB workloads such as HTTP request
routing and I/O, including SSL encryption and compression? That type of
workload could be farmed out to Linux.
