Re: Migrate iTERA to PowerHA

One of my customers uses PowerHA for most of the environment, but iCluster (HA Assist) for the *SYSBAS objects. iCluster will replicate anything in *SYSBAS with some interesting exceptions ; directory entries, job schedule entries, and a couple of others I don't remember off hand.

They use Aldon (another Rocket Software Product) and the administrative domain just would not handle the Aldon requirements, hence the iCluster.

So in short the answer is yet, albeit with a different product. Altera and iCluster will not play together well in the same sandbox, so you'll have to pick that one. Setting up iCluster is fast enough that I would can the Altera, set up iCluster to run in it's place and migrate everything into the iASP as you can.

Word of advice, I have found that creating the PowerHA mirroring before you populate the iASP is the easiest way to get things going, if you have the disk space.
