Eric -
Rather than using DBAM, I highly recommend using Alan Campin's "trigger
mediator" for managing file triggers.
Rather than adding multiple trigger-handling programs to a given file (which
requires exclusive allocation of the file when either adding or removing the
trigger), the trigger mediator becomes the trigger-handling program for the
file and you then configure the mediator to call *your* trigger-handling
programs.

I succeeded in attaching a second trigger program to a file yesterday.
Happy. I did not realize that system will allow more than one trigger
program.
I did not want to modify the existing (first) program trigger that
tracks sales order totals in real-time.
I created second trigger program with JD Edwards DBAM (data base audit
manager) to identify which process is changing info in one field.
How many trigger programs will system allow on a file? I will find out
someday.
