The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

We have a requirement to refresh data from production system to a

about 4-5 days.
How is that done? I have seen all data migrated from and to multiple
large systems in just several hours, so I can hardly imagine what method
would be taking so many days.
We are looking for a tool that would allow us to extract the data
selectively (parameter driven).
Any suggestions?
I would probably just write programs to do what is necessary for each
file, using the SQL to obtain the data from the other system using DRDA,
and updating the data locally. There are also various tooling that can
help; e.g.: Apply journaled changes, CPYF over DDM, QM [e.g. STRQMQRY]
using DRDA. The subject is really too broad to give any /good/ answers
other than perhaps, to suggest looking for a product that claims to
provide ETL tooling.
