Hi,

We have IBM I boxes. One is at V7R1 and the other is at V5R4. I am trying to save a file on the V7R1 box using SAVOBJ and specifying a Target release of V5R4M0 so that I can send it to the other system. The SAVOBJ command is actually part of a home grown command we use to send objects between the two systems. It fails with message id CPI3215 and reason code 1 which says " 1 - The file has fields in its record format whose attributes are not supported on the target release or the file is an SQL table or view that specifies new function that is not supported on the target release. " The file has an identity column, but that is supported on V5R4 because that is where we created the file originally. To me, this sounds like a bug. Has anyone else encountered this error?
