Dear John Mathew
You can store AS/400 User Id and password in any physical file that you
desire.
USRPWD is a great file name for user and password
Define your file (USRPWD) with fields you want.
Compile USRPWD file
Ask all your users to tell you what their passwords are!
Enter all user ids and passwords you into USRPWD.
If you want your file to contain some more profile-specific information,

Run command DSPUSRPRF outputting to a file.

Key that information into USRPWD also.
I recommend STRDFU for data entry!
And yes, you can use any file utility to view and print the data.
And to keep the user ID and password information current, send the list
of user IDs and passwords to your users every week to jog their memory.
Some people tend to forget to tell you when they have changed their
password.
Or to save on paper, post the passwords on your website!
I recommend not storing information in your user id file that mocks or
makes fun of your users because if they find out you are ridiculing
them, they might get mad at you.
