Definitely not the answer I wanted to hear!

Joe,

AFAIK, even if you delete owned objects by your user profile, the profile
size remains the same, only that the space is now available for new objects.

The system (again, AFAIK) compresses the profile only if it is full or
damaged (during an IPL or RCLSTG). So, if your MAXSTG is *NOMAX, you would
be out of luck...

Maybe you could try to put a limit to your MAXSTG value and/or save and
restore your profile?
