Basically the scanner converts it to a simple string. Scan it with any 2D
scanner you currently own. Be it a smart phone or a 2D scanner attached
to your computer running notepad or something. See what it puts there.
That's what it will put into a field on your 5250 screen. Then it's up to
you to go from there.

Then again, maybe I'm oversimplifying this with my 1D experience...
